Dental Crowns – Hamburg, NJ

Rebuild Damaged Teeth

Teeth can change a lot as time goes on; they can become cracked, worn down, or badly decayed. This can end up aging and weakening your smile, but its appearance and strength can both be restored with tooth-shaped caps called dental crowns. Dr. Kurian can use these restorations to make extensive repairs, and each one will be personalized just for you to fit snugly in your grin. Do you have a tooth that you think could benefit from a crown? Call Hamburg Family & Cosmetic Dental Group today.

Materials for Making Crowns

Crowns are versatile in many different ways; not only can they be used in various situations, but they can be made of different materials depending on your needs. Precious metals such as gold or porcelain fused to metal are often reliable, but for those that want to keep their grin looking naturally white, we recommend crowns made entirely out of color-matched porcelain that’s as durable as it is dazzling.

What Is It Like to Get a Crown?

It normally takes two appointments to place a crown: one to prepare the teeth and take impressions, and the other to attach the restoration. After that, you’ll simply brush your crown twice a day and floss around it regularly; that will protect the underlying tooth from cavities. We can check on your crown during your regular checkups, which will normally take place every six months or so.
